Required minimum education:
High School graduate or equivalent.
Required minimum
Experience:
Minimum of one year of experience in filing medical insurance claims preferably in a hospital.
Required skills (if applicable):
Must have strong organizational skills.
Require excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must have strong knowledge of a variety of computer software applications including Word and Excel and be able to use the internet proficiently.
Must be familiar with third party billing and appeal requirements.
Must be able to analyze work, identify problems, resolve issues, and use sound judgment in making decisions and to apply correct rules, procedures, and instructions to appropriate situations.

Summary:
Account preparation for filing claims.
Process electronic and paper claims daily for primary and secondary claims.
Follow-up on all outstanding claims assigned.
Handle appeals, corrected claims, and denials.
Demonstrates commitment to the mission and vision of the hospital to ensure the delivery of quality care to those in need.
Location:
Palo Pinto General Hospital PPH PATIENT ACCOUNTING Schedule:
Full Time, Days, M-F.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
