Summary:
Plan, direct and supervise production activities and employees in accordance with departmental policies, procedures, and standards to achieve established production schedules and desired quality levels.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
o Review general status of production schedules to ensure that schedules are met, and if necessary, assign or adjust schedules and/or personnel to balance and expedite work o Assist in troubleshooting and performing equipment maintenance o Order materials, parts, tools, and supplies o Communicate the weekly work plan to all shifts and explain how to successfully complete plan o Write daily progress reports for each shift.
Compile this information for the month end report o Assure that the desired output is achieved through proper training with operation, use of tools, and inspection techniques and overall job responsibilities o Take corrective action when necessary to improve the overall performance of the production area o Confer with appropriate personnel on problems or situations that develop regarding quality, efficiency, machine utilization, scheduling, safety, housekeeping, manpower, etc.
o Consistently administer CANTEX work rules, safety rules, attendance policy, and other policies/practices REQUIREMENTS Education:
